Gambling Should Stay Fun

At 977pak, we genuinely believe that gambling should be an entertaining activity — not a source of financial stress, family conflict or personal harm. We have built this platform with Pakistani players in mind, and that includes taking seriously our responsibility to support safe play at every level.

Whether you are placing a bet on a PSL match in Lahore on a Friday night, following an ICC tournament from Islamabad or spinning through the live casino lobby from Karachi, the same protections are available to you regardless of how you play or how much you deposit.

977pak provides a range of voluntary and platform-managed player protection tools. These are not hidden behind menus — they are accessible within your account settings. Every registered player can set deposit limits, session time limits, loss limits and reality check reminders. If you need a more significant break, self-exclusion is available and actioned immediately with no waiting period.

We also recognise that Pakistan has its own context when it comes to gambling. The Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 governs gambling restrictions in this country. 977pak does not claim to be licensed or approved by the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority or any Pakistani regulatory authority. Players in Pakistan are responsible for understanding the laws that apply in their own area. This page does not constitute legal advice.

Our responsible gambling commitment is not a legal formality. It reflects how we operate, how we train our support team, and how we design the platform experience. If something is not working for you, we want to know — and we want to help.

18+

Adults Only

977pak is strictly for players aged 18 and above — or the higher minimum age required by the applicable operator or licence jurisdiction, whichever is greater. Age verification is required for all accounts. This does not imply that being 18 or older makes gambling lawful in Pakistan.

Zero Tolerance for Underage Play. If we have reason to believe that a player below the minimum age has registered an account, the account will be suspended immediately, all transactions held and documentation requested. We take this seriously — if you believe a minor has accessed this platform, contact us straight away.

Tools Available to Every 977pak Player

All tools listed below are accessible through your account settings at no cost. Some take effect immediately; others may have a short cooling-off period by design to prevent impulsive removal.

Active
Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit within a daily, weekly or monthly period. Once set, the limit takes effect immediately. Reducing a deposit limit is actioned straight away. Increasing a limit is subject to a cooling-off period — this is intentional, to prevent impulsive decisions during play. PKR denominations apply across all limit settings.

Control
Loss Limits

Define the maximum amount you are willing to lose within a chosen time period. When your net losses reach the limit you have set, your account will be restricted from further play until the period resets. This tool is designed to help you stay within a budget you are comfortable with — not just what you can afford to lose on the day.

Timer
Session Time Limits

Set a maximum duration for each playing session. When your session limit is reached, the platform will prompt you with a clear notification and restrict further play for that session. You can also configure session reminders at intervals — for example, a check-in notification every 30 minutes — without setting a hard cut-off.

Reminder
Reality Checks

Periodic on-screen notifications that display how long you have been playing and your net profit or loss for the session. Reality checks are a soft prompt — they do not stop you playing, but they do ensure you have current, accurate information about your session in front of you. You choose the frequency: every 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

Pause
Cooling-Off Period

Take a short voluntary break from the platform — from 24 hours up to six weeks. During a cooling-off period, your account is restricted from deposits and play. You can still log in to view your balance and history. Cooling-off periods cannot be shortened once set. At the end of the period, access is automatically restored.

Exclusion
Self-Exclusion

For players who need a longer or permanent break. Self-exclusion is available for periods of six months, one year, five years or permanently. It takes effect immediately upon request and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period, regardless of circumstances. During exclusion, your account is fully restricted, promotional communications are suspended and reactivation requests are rejected.

How to Access These Tools: All player protection tools are available within your account settings under "Responsible Gambling". If you cannot locate them or need assistance setting limits, contact our support team via live chat or email at [email protected] and we will guide you through the process.

Signs That Gambling May Be a Problem

Problem gambling can develop gradually. These warning signs do not mean you have an addiction — but they are worth taking seriously. If several of these resonate with you, consider using one of the player protection tools on this page or speaking to someone you trust.

  • Spending more money on gambling than you originally planned or can comfortably afford.
  • Chasing losses — placing additional bets to try to recover money you have already lost.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when you are not gambling or when you try to stop.
  • Keeping the extent of your gambling — or your losses — secret from family or friends.
  • Borrowing money, selling possessions or neglecting bills to fund gambling activity.
  • Gambling interfering with work, studies, sleep or family responsibilities.
  • Repeatedly telling yourself "just one more bet" or "I'll stop after this win".
  • Thinking of gambling as a way to make money or solve financial problems.
  • Feeling unable to stop even when you want to, or after making repeated promises to do so.

How to Gamble Responsibly

Most people who gamble do so without it causing harm. These habits help keep gambling in the entertainment category where it belongs — and give you a better experience overall when you are playing on 977pak.

  • Set a gambling budget before you start — and treat it as money already spent on entertainment, not an investment.
  • Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Never use funds set aside for rent, food, bills or family needs.
  • Use the deposit and loss limit tools within your account to enforce your own budget at the platform level.
  • Set session time limits and take regular breaks — step away from the screen, have a drink of water, do something else.
  • Gamble for fun, not to win back what you have lost. Chasing losses nearly always makes the situation worse.
  • Never gamble under the influence of alcohol or other substances that affect your judgment.
  • Be honest with yourself about how much you are playing and what impact it is having on your finances and daily life.
  • If gambling is no longer fun, stop — there is no obligation to continue playing, and we make it easy to take a break.
  • Talk to someone you trust if you are concerned. You do not have to manage gambling-related concerns alone.

Ask Yourself These Questions

The following questions are adapted from widely used responsible gambling screening frameworks. They are not a clinical diagnostic tool — they are a prompt for honest self-reflection. If you answer "yes" to several of these, it may be worth taking a voluntary break using our cooling-off or self-exclusion tools.

There is no judgment in answering honestly. The purpose is to help you stay in control — and to give you a clear signal when control may be slipping.

If you are concerned about a family member's gambling — a spouse, sibling or parent — many of these questions are equally applicable. The support resources on this page are relevant to family members and friends affected by someone else's gambling, not just the person gambling themselves.

Honest Self-Assessment

Have you gambled more than you planned to on more than one occasion in the past month?
Have you ever borrowed money from family or friends — or gone into debt — because of gambling?
Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling and found it harder than expected?
Has gambling affected your sleep, your work or your personal relationships?
Do you find yourself thinking about gambling when you are supposed to be focused on something else?
Have you hidden the extent of your gambling or your losses from someone close to you?
Do you ever feel that you need to gamble with larger amounts to feel the same level of excitement?
If you answered "yes" to two or more of the above, we encourage you to use our self-exclusion or cooling-off tools. There is no shame in taking a break — it is the sensible decision. Contact our support team to assist you in setting limits or initiating exclusion.

How to Request Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is the strongest voluntary player protection tool available on 977pak. It is straightforward to request and takes effect immediately. There is no waiting period, no fee, and no requirement to provide a reason.

Once a self-exclusion period is active, it cannot be shortened or reversed regardless of the circumstances you describe to our support team. This inflexibility is intentional — it is part of what makes self-exclusion genuinely effective as a tool rather than a mere formality.

Self-exclusion periods available: 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or permanent. Choose the period that feels right for your situation. You can always request a longer period — you cannot request a shorter one once it is set.

01
Log In to Your Account

Access your 977pak account from any device. You do not need to contact support first — you can initiate the process directly from your account settings under "Responsible Gambling".

02
Navigate to Self-Exclusion Settings

Within the Responsible Gambling section of your account, select "Self-Exclusion". You will be asked to choose the duration: 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanent.

03
Confirm Your Selection

You will be asked to confirm your decision. Read the confirmation carefully — it states that the exclusion cannot be reversed during the chosen period. Once confirmed, the exclusion takes effect immediately.

04
Account Is Restricted

Your account is immediately restricted from deposits, wagering and access to the gaming lobby. Promotional communications are suspended. Your account balance is preserved and accessible upon expiry of the exclusion period.

05
Need Help? Contact Support Directly

If you prefer to request self-exclusion through our team rather than through account settings — or if you are experiencing difficulty — contact us via live chat 24/7 or email [email protected] with "Self-Exclusion Request" in the subject line. We action all such requests without delay.

Getting Help Beyond the Platform

If gambling is causing you or someone you care about real harm, professional support exists. These organisations provide confidential guidance — you do not need to be at crisis point to reach out.

Pakistan Mental Health Support

Mental health professionals in Pakistan are increasingly trained to address gambling-related anxiety, stress and compulsive behaviour. If you are in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan or Peshawar, qualified counsellors are accessible through local health authorities and private practice. Your GP or family doctor is a good first contact.

Gamblers Anonymous-Style Peer Support

Peer support groups — following the model of Gamblers Anonymous — provide a space to share experiences with others who understand. While formal GA chapters in Pakistan are limited, online communities accessible in English offer similar peer support for players who prefer a community-based approach over one-to-one counselling.

Support for Family Members

Problem gambling affects families, not just the individual player. If a family member's gambling is causing stress, conflict or financial hardship in your household — in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad or anywhere across Pakistan — speaking to a mental health professional or family counsellor is a legitimate and valuable step.

977pak Player Support Team

Our support team is trained to handle responsible gambling concerns with sensitivity and without judgment. If you want to discuss your play patterns, set limits or explore self-exclusion options, contact us 24/7 via live chat or at [email protected]. Conversations about problem gambling are treated with full confidentiality.

Financial Counselling

If gambling has led to debt or financial difficulty, speaking to a financial counsellor can help. Debt restructuring, budgeting support and financial recovery planning are available through various services in Pakistan. Addressing the financial impact alongside the behavioural aspect gives you the best foundation for recovery.

Parental Controls & Account Sharing

If you share a device with family members — including children — be aware that your 977pak account should never be accessible to them. Log out after each session. Consider using device-level parental controls to restrict access to gambling websites on shared devices, particularly those used by younger family members in your household.

Understanding the Legal Context in Pakistan

Online gambling operates in a complex legal environment in Pakistan. The Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 contains provisions governing gambling restrictions within the country. 977pak does not claim to be licensed, approved, regulated or endorsed by the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the State Bank of Pakistan, or any provincial or municipal authority.

Players in Pakistan are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable in their own jurisdiction before accessing or using online gambling services. This page and the content on it does not constitute legal advice. If you are uncertain about the legality of accessing online gambling services in your specific circumstances, we recommend consulting a qualified legal professional.

The mention of Pakistani cities — including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar — reflects the geographic audience of the platform, not any claim that gambling is permitted by local authorities in those cities. Similarly, payment references such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank and Bank Alfalah are included as familiar local context only, and carry no implication of endorsement or partnership with those providers for gambling purposes.

Being 18 or older does not make online gambling lawful in Pakistan. This age requirement is a minimum threshold set by the platform's operator and applicable international licence jurisdiction — it does not override or supersede any applicable local law.

⚠ Remember: 977pak is for adults aged 18 and above — or the higher minimum required by the applicable operator or licence jurisdiction. Gambling should be entertainment, not a financial strategy or a way to solve problems. Set limits, take breaks, and reach out to our team at any point if something is not feeling right. Your wellbeing matters more than your next bet.

Your Safety Is Our Priority

Whether you want to set limits, take a break, read our full terms or simply learn more about the platform — we have made it straightforward. Responsible gambling is not a checkbox for us — it is how we operate.
